Meet Grace

Grace Menzies is the creative director of Banksiia Design Studio, bringing a diverse background that uniquely shapes her approach to interior design. With formal training from Billy Blue combined with her experience as a visual artist, Grace offers clients both technical expertise and creative vision.

Her professional journey includes valuable experience in visual arts, event coordination, and painting and decoration, complemented by lifelong exposure to house builds and design processes. This multifaceted background has equipped her with practical knowledge of trade requirements, supplier communications, and project scheduling that proves invaluable during renovations and new builds.

Grace's time managing a live music venue in Melbourne and coordinating community arts projects has honed her ability to create spaces that facilitate meaningful human interaction. Her years as a house painter and decorator developed her meticulous eye for detail and deep understanding of materials and finishes.
