“In 2024, Macleay and Claire relocated to Bellingen, where they purchased a charming building at the top of Hyde Street. They embarked on an ambitious renovation to transform it into a vintage motorcycle museum. Collaborating closely with Banksiia Design Studio and their team of skilled tradespeople, their vision evolved into a captivating reality.
Now, this esteemed heritage building stands as a striking museum, revitalizing the northern end of town. The thoughtfully enhanced interior boasts warm, textured woods, soaring ceilings, and rich toffee and brass tones”.

The external facade design. A heritage colour palette was elevated through porcelain tiles and brass details for the historic street of Bellingen.
Sheer curtains enclose the window displays and disguise the collection from street view while allowing natural light to filter into the gallery.
The bathroom vignette includes a repurposed vanity made from the original countertop hardwood from the previous shop owners
